Inside the Mind of Talent Agency Founder and CEO Pamela Zapata

Hey there, influencer enthusiasts! It's Whitney here, your go-to source for all things social media and entrepreneurship. I am beyond excited to dive into our latest episode of the Under the Influence Podcast, featuring the incredible Pamela Zapata! Believe me when I say this episode is packed with insights that will blow your mind.

First of all, can we talk about the massive growth of the influencer industry? It's worth billions, and it's only projected to continue skyrocketing in the coming years. The opportunities for creators to monetize their businesses are endless! We're talking brand partnerships, launching products, affiliate marketing - you name it. And get this, some creators are even making money while they sleep through affiliate marketing and linking products. The hustle is real!

But here's the thing, my friends, it's crucial for creators to establish a business outside of their chosen platform. Why? Well, there are uncertainties about the future of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and the like. That's why Pamela emphasizes the importance of having a platform you fully own, like a blog or website. It's your insurance policy in this ever-evolving digital landscape.

Pamela also gives advice on building your audience beyond popular platforms. She suggests leveraging newsletters and other channels to connect with your fans. And speaking of advice, she highly recommends reaching out to other women entrepreneurs in the industry. Sometimes, a little guidance and camaraderie can go a long way.

Now, let's touch on something that I know many of us can relate to - imposter syndrome. Pamela shares her experience with it and reminds us to trust our intuition. She also talks about starting as a side hustle if full-time entrepreneurship feels daunting. And I couldn't agree more. Taking that leap of faith can be intimidating, but the rewards of creating financial and personal freedom are worth it.

One of the highlights of this episode is Pamela's journey in starting her own management company, Society 18. She noticed a lack of diversity in the influencer industry and felt called to change that. Through her agency, she works with creators from all backgrounds, providing them with the opportunities and value they deserve. Talk about empowering and uplifting!

Lastly, we explore the future of the creator economy and the potential it holds. From TikTok to untouched niches, Pamela provides insights and tips that can help you stand out from the crowd.

So, my fellow influence enthusiasts, you don't want to miss this episode. Tune in to the Under the Influence Podcast to discover the power of influence, learn from the incredible Pamela Zapata, and ignite your entrepreneurial spirit. Trust me, your journey to success is just a click away.

Should You Be on Threads?

Threads is a game-changer. For those of you who have never been on Twitter, Threads offers a unique and exciting experience. It provides a space for individuals who are creative and witty but may not necessarily want to create content themselves. Threads caters to those who thrive on short-form hot takes and shower thoughts with witty personality jabs. It is a platform for the "lazy enough" but "creative and witty enough" individuals to thrive.

I know that there have been questions and controversies surrounding Threads. You might be wondering what it means for you as a content creator or brand. How does this new platform fit into your content strategy? Will it be a win or a challenge?

First, how is Threads different from Twitter? Threads prioritize concise snippets of text and short videos, fostering a productive and positive environment. Early adopters of Threads have taken it upon themselves to guide this positive principle, ensuring that the platform remains safe, nice, and fun. They actively discourage trolls and negative interactions. Another notable feature of Threads is its integration with Instagram. Users can sign up using their Instagram account and maintain the same username. However, a downside is that deleting Threads also deletes the associated Instagram account, which some may find concerning.

Truthfully, I feel excited about Threads. It offers something different and refreshing. After years of criticizing meta and feeling disillusioned with Instagram, I’m impressed by this move and I believe that Threads is Instagram's way of taking a shot at what Twitter could be, and I see it as a positive step towards honoring the creator community and doing justice to both apps.

Threads has the potential to revolutionize the social media landscape. It provides a unique space for individuals who want to engage in short-form content without the pressure of creating it themselves. While there are concerns and controversies surrounding Threads, its focus on fostering a positive environment and integration with Instagram make it an exciting addition to the social media world. This new platform offers opportunities for personal brands, creators, and marketers to explore and expand their reach. Overall, Threads presents a fresh and innovative approach to social media and content creation.

Harnessing the Power of Masculine and Feminine Energy in Entrepreneurship

Hey there, lovely listeners! It's Whitney, your friendly podcast host, and today we're diving deep into a topic that's been on my mind lately: the delicate dance between masculine and feminine energies. Buckle up, because this episode is about to take you on a journey of self-reflection and growth!

You know, as the host of this podcast, I strive to be open and transparent with you all. But sometimes, there's a whole lot more going on behind the scenes that I haven't quite shared. In fact, the episodes you've heard so far only scratch the surface, revealing about 25% of what's really happening in my life right now.

Right now, I'm in a transformative state. I'm taking stock of my career, my businesses, and the direction I want to head in the future. But lately, I've been feeling mentally exhausted and lacking that creative sparkle that fuels my passion. That's when I realized I needed to nourish my feminine energy and give it the attention it deserves.

You see, embracing both masculine and feminine energies is crucial when it comes to balance. These two forces work hand-in-hand, with the feminine providing the ideas and the masculine executing them. It's a synergy that keeps us grounded and productive, while also fostering our creativity.

For me, tapping into my feminine side is all about connecting. Whether it's with my team, clients, boyfriend, or friends, this energy allows me to be empathetic, open-minded, and authentic. It's my go-to in sensitive situations, communications, and even confrontations. By leading with my feminine energy, I can truly understand others' needs without getting defensive and create resolutions that work for everyone involved.

But of course, my business brain kicks in too! I've got a clear vision for my company, Getsuper, and let me tell you, it's written down on not just one, but two pieces of paper! A girl can dream, right? But here's the thing: I also need to consider the practical aspects of building my empire. The partner dynamics, logistics, and necessary capital all fall into the realm of the masculine.

Reflecting on my younger self, I'm proud of the growth and learning I've experienced as an entrepreneur. And this whole masculine vs. feminine energy exploration has played a huge role in that journey. As I continue to navigate my next steps, relationships, and boundaries, I've come to realize how important it is to find the right balance.

Switching between these energies can be a challenge, especially when emotions and ego come into play. Striking that sweet spot of leaving emotions on the table while leading with what's best for everyone involved is a constant learning process. But hey, I'm up for the challenge!

So why am I sharing all of this? Because I want you to feel empowered to explore your own dance between the masculine and feminine energies, both in your business and personal life. Take charge of your creative flow, build and create, while also nurturing that feminine side to avoid draining your creativity and succumbing to scarcity energy.

Remember, there's no right or wrong way to do it. Let go of the pressure to fit into society's expectations, especially when it comes to women. Embracing both masculine and feminine energies with awareness and understanding is the key to achieving our goals and finding harmony in our lives.

Until next time, my beautiful listeners! Keep embracing the dance of life and let those energies intertwine in the most magical ways possible. You've got this!

In this episode, we have the amazing Savannah Jordan, the founder of Alpha Market Agency. Savannah's journey in the marketing world is truly inspiring. She started out working for a marketing agency but eventually felt the need for a change and so her agency was born!

She didn't want to create a faceless brand that she could easily walk away from. Instead, she embraced the power of showing up authentically and personally. And let me tell you, it worked wonders.

When it comes to effective communication, Savannah believes in two key components: understanding oneself and understanding one's audience. From Sisters to Co-Founders: Building a Fashion-Forward Activewear Brand with Caroline and Lizzy Tierney

I am so excited to talk about our latest episode with Caroline & Lizzy Tierney. Trust me, you don't want to miss this one!

Caroline and Lizzy, sisters and co-founders of Daughter Lessons, are prime examples of individuals who followed their entrepreneurial passion. Prior to starting the brand, Caroline was working in corporate America, while Lizzie was pursuing a career in dance. However, when the pandemic hit, they both found themselves searching for new opportunities. Caroline's entrepreneurial itch and Lizzie's passion for dance led them to create a brand that combines their interests and values.

Daughter Lessons' mission is to empower women through fashion and fitness. The brand's clothing line is designed to be both stylish and functional, catering to women who want to look good while staying active. However, what sets Daughter Lessons apart from other activewear brands is their commitment to giving back to the community. For every purchase made, the brand donates a portion of the proceeds to organizations that support women's empowerment.

Caroline and Lizzie's journey to entrepreneurship was not easy. They played around with the idea for a while before deciding to take the leap. However, there came a point where they could no longer hold back their passion and were willing to take on the risk. This is a common theme among successful entrepreneurs - they are willing to take risks and pursue their dreams, even when it seems daunting.

The story of Daughter Lessons is a testament to the power of following your passion. Caroline and Lizzie were able to turn their interests and values into a successful business that is making a positive impact on the world. Their journey serves as inspiration for anyone who has a dream of starting their own business. It is a reminder that with hard work, dedication, and a willingness to take risks, anything is possible.

The Importance of Authenticity on Social Media with Hannah Huante

Hey there, it’s Whitney! I’m so pumped to be talking about our latest episode with the amazing Hannah Huante! In this episode, we dive into the importance of authenticity as an influencer, discussing everything from social media to entrepreneurship.

One of the biggest takeaways for me was Hannah’s emphasis on staying true to yourself, even when it comes to building a brand. At times, I’ve definitely felt the pressure to conform to certain norms in order to be successful, but Hannah’s approach of embracing your own unique style and passion is such a breath of fresh air. Being genuine and authentic is key in any industry, and this episode really hit home with that message.

Another standout moment for me was when Hannah discussed the struggles of being an entrepreneur and navigating mental health, including depression and anxiety. As somebody who’s also faced these challenges, it was inspiring to hear Hannah’s honesty and vulnerability in sharing their story. In fact, I’ve found that some of my most impactful moments on this podcast have come from similar candid conversations with our guests.

During the episode, we also touched on the creator economy and its growth in recent years. With social media becoming such a prominent part of our lives, it’s no wonder that influencers have become such a powerful force in marketing. As Hannah pointed out, focusing on building an engaged community and providing value should always come first, rather than just trying to make money.

Overall, I’d highly recommend giving this episode a listen, whether you’re a content creator yourself or simply interested in the world of social media and entrepreneurship. Hannah’s insights and wisdom are truly invaluable, and I know I for one came away feeling more inspired and motivated than ever. Thanks for tuning in, and I’ll catch you on the next episode of Under the Influence!

Will AI Take Your Creative Marketing Job?

Hey there, it's Whitney, and I'm so excited to chat with you about my latest episode of the Under the Influence podcast! In this episode, I dive into the topic of AI and how it may impact the future of creative marketing jobs. As someone who works in the marketing industry, this is a topic that definitely piques my interest.

From generating ideas to writing content, AI can be a valuable tool for businesses and individuals. In fact, in my own work, I've found that AI can help streamline some of the more mundane tasks that come with my job, such as grammar checks and writing tools. This allows me to focus more on the creative aspects of my work and avoid burnout. Plus, I've found that AI can even help me compile resources and generate ideas for creative thinking and formatting.

But, of course, there are also valid concerns about AI taking over jobs in the industry. I encourage you to view AI as a tool to optimize our skills rather than a replacement for us. When it comes to human connection in marketing, I personally prefer brands with a human touch. While AI is great for completing tasks and generating ideas, it's important to remember that human connection is key in building relationships with customers.

Overall, I hope this is a really thought-provoking episode. It's fascinating to consider the impact AI may have on our industry, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. As always, thanks for tuning in to Under the Influence, and I can't wait to share more with you in future episodes!

How Working Through Trauma Can Make Your Business More Successful with Kristen Cipriano

Hey there, lovely listeners!

In today's episode of Under the Influence Podcast, we have Kristen Cipriano on board to discuss entrepreneurship, trauma, and the importance of self-worth. As someone who struggled with self-doubt when I started my own business, I found her insights truly valuable.

Kristen speaks to the importance of values-alignment and how that impacts your ability to succeed. When you're doing work that doesn't feel meaningful or aligned with your values, it's easy to feel unfulfilled. And when you don't feel fulfilled, it can be hard to gain traction in your business. It's important to really tune into what drives you and what you stand for when starting a business to stay motivated and driven.

Another key takeaway is the idea of manifesting and frequency. Focusing on the energy you put out into the world is crucial in attracting the right people and opportunities into your life. If you approach your business with an energy of desperation, you'll likely attract people with similar low frequency energies, leading to unfulfilling outcomes. Alternatively, starting with a positive energy of love, authenticity, and service can attract clients and customers who are also aligned with those values.

Self-worth and value are central themes in this episode as well. Kristen shares how she helps clients recognize and embody their self-worth through somatic healing techniques. By recognizing what makes you unique and rare, you can cultivate your own success. This is something I can totally relate to - as someone who has struggled with imposter syndrome frequently, it's important to remember that my qualifications, experiences, and traits make me valuable, and that applies to all of us.

Finally, Kristen discusses how past trauma and negative experiences can shape our beliefs and actions in the present. It's important to take a step back and reprogram negative identities and belief systems to align with our true selves. This is something that has resonated with me as I navigate growing my business, as sometimes those childhood fears and insecurities can creep back in.

Overall, this episode offers some truly valuable insights into the role of trauma, self-worth, and energy in entrepreneurship. I hope you found it as informative and thought-provoking as I did. Thanks for tuning in!
